Where Job AQ came from

Hi, Job AQ is an experiment by the two of us - Stephen Tracy and Gary Ang. While building AI training for professionals, we realized that the people who get the most out of AI aren't the ones who have sat through a prompt engineering course or an AI agents workshop - they're the ones with good judgement about when to lean on AI, how far to go, and how to evaluate what comes back. We feel that working with AI in this way is a skill. And a skill can be assessed. Job AQ is our attempt to do exactly that.

What this is

This is an experiment, and an early one. We hope it becomes a progressive AI competency assessment - one that grows with you and keeps pace as AI changes, not a one-time score you take once and file away. For now, it's a framework shaped by our own experience.

Why we're sharing it anyway

Waiting for something perfect would mean sharing nothing. We'd rather learn from how people actually use it, and make it better over time. If it gives you one useful insight about how you work with AI, we're happy.
